OSCARS contributed to the 28th IPPOG (International Particle Physics Outreach Group) Collaboration Meeting 2024, held at CERN on 25-27 November, 2024.

In particular, on November 26th, 2024, our OSCARS project manager, Friederike Schmidt-Tremmel, gave the presentation "Fostering the Uptake of Open Science in Europe: the Oscars project", and took part in a panel discussion about the different aspects of Open Science.

Through her talk, she gave an introduction to OSCARS and its objectives, and to some key definitions relevant when speaking about Open Science: from FAIR principles, to the European Open Science Cloud, to the Science Clusters and their role in shaping the EOSC and in promoting FAIR data and Open Science practices across the research communities in all scientific domains.

Moreover, some statistics about the outcomes of the 1st OSCARS Open Call for Open Science projects and services were presented, to give an overview of the projects funded, by also focusing on some examples of projects related to one or more Science Clusters (SCs), or in scientific domains beyond the SCs.
