With the ambitious goal to realise an EOSC of FAIR data and services, the FAIR-IMPACT project responds to these needs by supporting the implementation of FAIR-enabling practices, tools and services across scientific communities at a European, national and institutional level.
Building on the results of FAIRsFAIR and other projects and initiatives, the project will realise the goal of the EOSC Partnership to implement standards, tools and services that allow researchers to find, access, reuse and combine results. The active involvement of scientific communities included in the consortium as integrated use case partners, will ensure that viable and tested solutions from one domain can be piloted in others and help to achieve wider uptake, adoption, implementation of, and compliance with the FAIR principles, leading to a web of FAIR data and related services.
FAIR-IMPACT will boost the uptake of FAIR data principles and practices by research performing organisations, data service providers and repositories through a dedicated support programme. Through a series of open calls, interested parties can apply to implement a selection of current tools and methods and receive financial support to enable their participation. We aim to support around 50 organisations over the life of the project ensuring that different domains, geographic areas and stakeholder groups are represented.
