At the EUDAT Conference 2024, held in Karlsruhe, Germany, from the 3rd to the 5th of December, Anca Hienola, co-lead of the OSCARS Testing and Widening Uptake initiative from the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI), presented key updates on the OSCARS project during the eInfra Assembly Session: Establishing and Strengthening Collaborations Across the Research Data Ecosystem.
The EUDAT Conference is a prominent event dedicated to research data management, offering a platform for discussions on the latest advancements in tools, solutions, and strategies for managing research data. It serves as a key venue for promoting and advancing FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data practices across the European Research Area. By bringing together experts and stakeholders from various research domains, the conference fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange within the research data ecosystem.
During her presentation, Anca Hienola highlighted the outcomes of the OSCARS project's first open call, using a detailed poster to showcase the project’s key components, its objectives, and the specifics of the OSCARS Open Calls for Open Science Projects and Services.
She also provided a preview of the upcoming second Open Call, encouraging further participation and engagement from the research community. The presentation underscored the project's ongoing efforts to facilitate data-driven research, promote best practices in Open Science, and provide researchers with the tools and support necessary to advance their work.
The OSCARS initiative is committed to fostering collaboration across Europe and beyond, and its participation in events like the EUDAT Conference helps strengthen its network and visibility. By engaging with fellow innovators and contributing to discussions on Open Science practices, OSCARS continues to explore and promote innovative solutions in research data management, ultimately supporting the development of a more open and interconnected research environment.
