The work towards the finalisation of the contracts of the fifty-eight Open Science projects and services funded via the 1st OSCARS Open Call is ongoing. Of the 58 Open Science projects and services funded via the 1st OSCARS Open Call, forty-four are now fully ready to start between October 2024 and February 2025, with the other fourteen in the process of having their contracts fully signed.

Seven projects relate to the ENVRI Science Cluster (Earth and Environmental Sciences), nine to ESCAPE (Astronomy and Particle Physics), eight to LS RI (Life Sciences), six to PaNOSC (Photon and Neutron Science) and 10 to SSHOC (Social Sciences and Humanities). The remaining 18 projects are either addressing challenges that are relevant across various Science Clusters and/or domains, or outside the domains covered by the clusters.

Finally, most of the selected projects (47 out of 58) will last 24 months.  Ten will be implemented in one year and a half, and only one has a duration of 12 months. It is thus expected that all projects funded via the 1st OSCARS Open Call will have ended by the end of February 2027.

All funded projects, their scope and description, will be displayed in a dedicated section of our OSCARS website, at https://oscars-project.eu/projects/ - to be online soon. Stay tuned!
